4. Ask the deer's insurance to cover.

Very funny with the deer's insurance... and I work in a body shop, prepping cars and getting them ready to paint. it is a common process among bodyshops and every shop is different, they all charge different. price ball park in my opinion would be 1000/2700 for just a respray of the same color.

It can be undone, but your drunken spray can rampage just cost you more money. Everyone is different as far as price goes, and depending how in depth you want to go, will obviously change price as well.

and since you work at a body shop, you may be able to get a good deal, esp if you ask someone to help and YOU help do the work. Just talk with the shop you work at and see what kinda deal you can get.

A good primer is like 180 a gal, good base is like a gal 200 and a good clear is like 300 a gal .. (These are for top of the line stuff, most shops wont use this stuff)

Spray painting didnt cost him more money and could of actually saved him some in potential rust repair.. The whole side should be sanded for blending anyways, a Quality paint job will run you between 1K to 4K... A show car paint job will be between 4k to 6k in my shop. A show car finish you need to double the amount of primer and clear as you spray and sand twice as much.
