Need a repaint for my R
how much are you guys paying for a paint job? I wanna keep the stock ITR NBP that i already have. My car has a few dings and dents here and there and I wanna make it look nice. Planning on spending my deployment money to fix it up.
if your bringing it to a good body shop your gunna pay for everything from tear down to body work to paint and then put it back together probaly 5k+ im doing everything myself and im looking like 2k
what ekcoupe said. 5K starting for them to do a lot of the work. If you want to keep costs low, you could pay for someone to pull all your dings/dents and then do a respray vs a full repaint?
my friends dad quoted me 3500 for everything. from new window seals, pulling the dings out, the whole 9 yards. but hes using a water based paint, i dont know how that works. he said that its the only paint he can use. is it true?
EDIT: The son, my friend, of the shop owner has a gsr painted with a water based CW. it looks pretty nice. i just dont know how long it would last and is it my only option for paint.

You could be one of the only integras with a low-rider flake scheme.

Another option for you might be to buff the car if the paint is not totaly hammered and have the body shop pull the dents and touch up scratches etc. Im gonna go this route cause my paint still has a good shine justs needs spot care and freshening. Try clay baring the car then buff it with meguires ulitimate compound and then wax after that and see what u got. $40 and some time can do wonders for the car and pocket pocket book.
Body shop quoted me 1200 for dent fix and repaint blend problem areas

hey OP whats actually wrong with your cars finish that you want to get it redone?
that water based paint is good ****. im not sure if anybody other than sherwin williams is making it but in my neck of the woods there are a few shops who are running that paint. looks really really good.
if u have regular door dings and dents expect to pay at least 2500 for the package. depending on the shop , some will try and make a profit off the things they outsource like parts and window pulling.

nothing much really, it just has nicks and dings here and there. has some small dents that i dont like looking at. i mean its not noticeable unless you really look. im planning on getting everything redone. have all the parts revined after i paint it and etc. maybe new carpet and floor mats straight from Acuraoemparts.com
sorry what i meant was, i was gonna call Acura and see if they can send some stickers with the original vin number on it. cause if i paint my car, all the stickers are gonna have to come off right? Unless that taping off stuff works.
also to OP, it doesn't sound like the car is 'that' bad where a few dent pros couldn't remove them for you. Not sure if it's worth spending that much $ if the damage isn't that dramatic.
As much as I'd hate to admit it, but I think the car was repainted before. And I don't think the car was originally NBP. The stickers aren't there in the door anymore. To my knowledge, I think acuraoemparts.com vins the parts you buy from them to the vin on your car. I could be wrong.
Yeah to me its pretty bad. The back bumper, spoiler and right rear taillight needs to be replaced, OEM of course. So I might as well just spend the money and do it right. I don't have any intentions of selling the car, even if there's a fire! Lol jk but seriously I know that the car is gonna be with me and my future family lol.
last time i checked the vins cannot be purchased. they used to sell blank plaque cards and u could have your vin printed on the little honda vin sticker but that ended a few years back
I hear ya wanting to do it right that's why mine was stripped to bare metal cause some hacks got at it lol....I have a mint spoiler for sale it's yellow though but I'm looking to sell it
So no more Honda plaques? Damn... that blows. Pretty sure someone out there has some Honda plaques.

That's a great site but god damn those are expensive!
