I was driving my 1998 Honda Accord down a street and hit a decent sized pot hole as I was putting on my turn signal and the handle snapped off. I can place the broken off handle on where it is supposed to go and turn it to to on the headlights, but whenever the car is on, my right turn signal is constantly flashing. I have manually tried switching the turn signal into the left turn position and I have turned the wheel completely both ways so that the handle returns to the middle position but none of these get the right turn signal to turn off. Only when I turn off the car will the turn signal turn off. Any ideas of what might have happened?

 

I believe you may need a whole new combination switch. It sounds as if the connection between the switch and the handle is gone.

 

Is the combination switch something that is easily replaceable or am I going to need to go to a mechanic for that?

 

Also, is there a specific part that you think can be replaced in it or is replacing the entire thing pretty much the only option?
