Default ready to quit this build

it seems as though i just keep getting screwed. i have a beautiful gsr head fully assembled waiting to be put on my 95 ls block. pistons installed with shotpeened rods and arp rod bolts was going to put oil pump on and find this!!

2 of the three bolt holes are halfway broke and all three have severely damaged threads. could i somehow put some kind of sleeve inthere that would be strong enough to withstand the forces?

is this block junked? this is the second block ive had issues with ughhhhhh

someone help

Looks like a block that was in an accident. I've seen people weld them up, redrill the holes, re-tap, deck flat, and have no issues. Not sure what you are building but if it is something you want to make a lot of power with(turbo build) Then I would get another block.

How did you not see that before you picked it up? I mean, if you had it shipped to you I'd be contacting the seller.

well the block was saran wrapped and all i checked was that it had all the main caps and that there wasnt a ridge in the cylinders. block is very clean and after taking measurements the cylinders are on point.

i guess i overlooked it.

is there any saving this because if theres not i will have lots of nice parts for sale. im getting sick of these constant problems.

$100 fix at the most at your local Machinist. Not a big deal, they should be able to handle it for you.

Don't give up.

so i have an idea what if i put an aluminum section of tube in there and filled it inside and go around the outside with the welder then drill and tap that?

would this be strong enough to handle a 14 psi ls/vtec

You need to have it wielded by a machine shop and re-done. If you do it yourself, better expect to be a pro because JB wield is not going to hold.
