so the other night i drove my car home, parked it and went to bed. (the car has had an egr vacuum line problem for a few weeks now) we had a really big storm that night. the next morning i went out to the car, turned it on and it idled at 1000 rpm like normal for about 10 seconds then began to idle rough and die. i kept trying to retstart it, and as it would begin to turn on it would die. now about 1 out of 3 try it'll turn on, idle really rough for 5 or so seconds, and die. if i try to give it gas at all even in neutral it dies. i think its a vacuum line issue, as you can see one hose has a loose end, and it looks like a hose needs to be connected. please advise if it looks familiar as to what is missing. thank you! *note i replaced the distributor cap and rotor*

does anyone think it could be the fuel pump aswell? im definitly going to change the fuel filter, but the fact that the car starts for a few seconds makes me think it has to be vaccuum and not fuel related

 

Yea I don't think it'll be the fuel pump. Coz it starts fine. Meaning the fuel pump works.

 

Could it be the fuel pump main relay? i mean it starts 1 out of 4 times not always. but then it idles rough and eventually dies within seconds, or if i press the gas it instantly dies.
