Default 100k mile GS-R dyno...

On Friday night (10/18), I turned the 100k mile mark on my GS-R. On Saturday, I dynoed it to see how the engine is doing (compression test coming soon as well). Here you go...
All 3 at once...

The odometer...(cheap disposable camera used, I hate those!)

Getting ready to run...

Doing a pull...

Things to note...
The engine was misfiring, new wires, cap, rotor are needed, badly. As for the mods...pretty basic stuff:
-stock exhaust w/DC 4-2-1 ceramic piece of junk
-old AEM CAI
-Jun flywheel/clutchmasters stage 1 clutch
-most of my money is in suspension

...not bad for a 100k mile beast ehh?

EDIT: I changed website servers, needed to update picture links.

Thanks! I'm looking at doing a mini-rebuild in the next year if I have time. I'd like to reach the 170 whp mark.

what happened between the red dyno graph and the final one? looks like you lost a lot of midrange for the final run..

It was hotter...that's pretty normal when doing 3 runs. The first one has the most torque, last one has the most hp.

Still running strong....

Did you change your Wires and Distrib/Cap? Did it get rid of the cylinder misfire?

I'm having the same problem.

Not yet, I just did the dyno today. I'm sure it will take care of the problem. My Celica used to have the same problems when the wires and such were bad. I'll probably get around to changing them within week.

not bad at all. should of done a pull w/o ps belt......

what upgrades to u plan?

get some ITR cams, cam gears, JDM 4-1 header and free up that exhaust and u should hit 170 no problem.

stick who now has 109k on his GSR

Thanks! Actually, that's pretty much what I had in mind. I'll upgrade some internals (retainers, springs, etc.) and look at getting ITR cams...or possibly skunk2 stage 1 cams.

As for the exhaust system, I haven't decided what I'll get yet, but JDM sized 4-1 header will be involved.

*EDITED because I can't type today.

dude the red curve looks badass, much better than the blue one. how come it dropped, i thought tuning was supposed to take the numbers up.

There was no tuning involved, these were just 3 runs. The curve dropped because the temperature rised the hotter the engine got. All 3 runs were done in less than 5 minutes...total. So the engine, did have a lot of time to cool...which is why the torque dropped.

sweet, kinda gives me an idea of what my car could pull. I would like to make a pull just to know, though. My car has 125K now, but it runs like a top. No midfires, pinging or anything. All I have is K&N filter in stock box w/ DIY icebox intake. The rest is suspension.

actually the JDM header w/ hi flow cat and either ITR exhaust or bigger like SMSP exhaust (flows very well) along w/ cams, cam gears, and vtec controller will give u some decent power.
do everything at once and also get both cams (intake/exh) so u dont have to go back later and put in the exhaust cam like me

Yep, I went to AMS.

Stick: Yeah, I plan on doing both at the same time...all the internals will be done at the same time. I have to make it easy on myself somehow
