Default How do you park your R

Just wanted to see what the rest of you R owners do when you drive and park your car in public. This is my routine everytime I park my car.

1. Steering lock
2. Wheel Boot
3. GPS Alarm

Not so, itr theft is everywhere.

I simply use an alarm and only park where I can see my car.

I also remove the ecu on occasion.

I just park it and leave. I do have layered security though. But I live in a place where thieves would rather brake into my pos eg then the R next to it.

I work in a stone quarry which is pretty secluded and you would have to look for my car, and there is no public access, I park it in my garage over night, I take one of my other cars if I have to park anywhere else besides those 2 places, so it's pretty secure.

Meh. When I leave it at the airport it gets the alarm and a locked car cover... if it's a trip to the mall/grocery store/etc, it just gets the alarm. Otherwise, it lives in the garage .

Maybe I'm just lucky?

I've heard not to use a car cover because someone could break in there and not be seen while they're inside trying to start it. Not sure if that's worth worrying about.

to the OP, that's crazy you go through that much trouble everytime you park your car. Also doesn't the cover scratch your car when your car is dirty as it is in your picture?

Not worried about that cuz my alarm would already be going off by the proxy sensor if anyone tries to remove the cover.

If I have to park my caR for an extended period of time, I drive my daily driver.
I do have a steering wheel lock and some additional security features.

Wow, your car did get pretty dirty! My car is a princess and I don't take her out when the ground is wet let alone raining! (well a poor princess as my car is a POS and not nearly as nice as yours, haha)

The other day it was nice out and I wanted to drive my R which had a dead battery. I roll started it and went on out to lunch with a buddy. Rather than having to push it off I just left it running unlocked in the parking lot while we ate. So that's how I park it lol.

I make sure I pull both the wheels and the suspension whenever I park my car for an extended period of time. I also park it 4,000 miles away though.
