Default 94 ls cams in a 90

I have been all over the net looking for the lobe hight of a '94 ls camshaft and I can't find any info on it. I was told I could use them in my '90. In my manual it says IN. 1.3160" EX. 1.3083" which translates to 33.4264mm and 33.23082mm.
I would just like to ask is it possible to run the '94 cams in my car and if so does anyone know the specs because it may not even be worth it. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I cannot speak of the B18A/B specifically, but it is accepted that in the B18C/B16 arena that the higher in year you go, the better the cams are. The specs are only marginally different but a GSR cam from an '01 has measured to be very slightly more aggressive than a GSR cam from a '94. And they're completely interchangeable. I see no reason that the B18A/B would be any different.

I have noticed that. My manual includes '90-'91 and '92-'93 and there is a small change in elevation from the first to the latter. My main concern is pushing my luck and having a valve meet a piston up close, if you know what I mean. I'm not sure what the piston to valve clearance is.

I wouldn't worry about that. I would bet good money that the cams are not that much different between 90 and 94. I understand your desire to be absolutely sure, but if it were me, I would just throw those cams in and run it. You could do a few rotations by hand to confirm that nothing's hitting, if that makes you feel better.

You make a good point. And I actually do feel a bit more at ease now that I think of it like that. I might still buy a manual for the '94 just so I know what I'm changing to. Just a pet peeve of mine. I'm meticulous.
Thanks

I have successfully built my b18a with b18b internals.
I can't give you dyno sheets, but when I compare to my brother's integra, mine appears to be quicker.not faster, but my rpms cut at6500.our cars stay about the same speed, but I get to the next gear quicker resulting in better jumps in each gear..
Just like putting gsr parts in a b18,if you take parts that are rated for 140hp and stick em in a motor rated at 120hp,its gotta say something man..

Its a non interference motor anyways. You won't be smashing valves.

The biggest difference between the B18A motors and the B18B is the cams.

In other words, they will work.

these are actually interference motors. not close interference, but interference nonetheless.
that being said, op, there is ample room to run a p75 cam in a pr4 head. there is A LOT of foregiveness on these motors.
i say cam because i believe that the exhaust is identical between the two. only the intake cam changed..i think

it'll work, i wouldn't worry about p2v, as it is a low compression motor. the difference in cams isn't that huge anyway.
