Ok guys need help.dnt have much time to do much research since my 7month old Dante let me :/.ok I have a crx so 89 running great but the body has to much cancer to fix.i bought a crx dx she'll that's super clean.no motor but has everything else.i wanna drop my crx si engine on the dx.do I have to switch over all the internal harness from the so to the dx?or can I just drop the engine in and switch the ecus?

 

No, you will have to add the MPFI wiring.

thats what im doing to my ef wagon right now and im doing mini tuck harness at the same time
but r they same year ?? keep in mind 88-89 r the same and 90-91 differents from 88-89

 

Under dash harness swap its a lot of work when all you need is a sub harness, youcan even but them from places like Rywire

Might as well swap all the interior if you go the swapping whole harness route

But aren't the harnesses different? 88-89 i different than 90-91 as far as cluster connections go I know that for sure. I would just wire in the mpfi and throw your engine in and call it a job well done. Or run dual point on your Si engine with an HF trans and make it a daily and throw a massive swap in the old car and make it a sleeper.
