Default Ground Theory

Okay guys, so I was thinking... Since I've replaced my external distributor my CKP sensor still won't go away, could it be because my msd coils ground could possibly be bad?

But then again I wouldn't have spark and the car wouldn't run..

.. But I did re-route the wires.. could i remove the ground from my msd coil & reground the wire back to the distributors original ground wire? Then it would only draw electricity if the ground is good and possibly fix my issue with the sensor.

Do you guys think that could make a difference or is just a waste of time?

here's a step-by-step of what happened:
1. Ordered new external dizzy because ecu threw cel 4
2. Dizzy arrived, took cap, dust (or heat?) cover, and rotor off
3. Re-routed two yel/blk and one green wires from inside dizzy to outside to msd coil pack (both yel/blk to pos side of coil pack, green to neg side of coil pack)
4. Took out ecu reset/ radio back-up fuse to reset ecu in-case of stored codes
5. Checked for codes, still cel 4 and now cel 15 (ignition output signal).
6. still stuck...

Here's a diagram of my current setup and what my idea is.. just to clarify.
