tuned vafc on stock lude.
I finally got to dyno my car today, unfortunately my exhaust won't be here till monday
so I had to do it on a bone stock car. This was done on a dynojet at CD Performance in Fall River, Mass. At the top end I gained 3whp +2.6 tq. bringing the peak hp and tq to 164.5 and 141.8 respectively.
But the gain at the vtec switch over point is impressive. at switchover point, the difference between 1st and 3rd pull was roughly 15-20whp (I don't have individual printouts of each pull so I have to judge this by sight). Basically the dip in power before switchover is gone, resulting in a much flatter curve.
Special thanks to breaka_1_9 for organizing this dyno day, and tbone and sonic for tuning the vafc for me (I didn't know what the hell to do with that thing). Hopefully, by the next dyno day I'll have at least an intake and exhaust, and maybe even my 2 1/4 collector/cat mod done so there will be more impressive gains up top.

Changed the VTEC point to low as hell, 4200 crossover, I never thought it would be good that low, I kept on telling you that 5000 was too low, man the dyno proved me wrong.
I still think we should have gone with Tbone's Spec B VAFC setup, that would have made the day all worthwhile.

Yeah, just like the spray paint can that exploded in your car, oh wait, that's your aluminum dash trim kit. (ouch)

honestly, you should ask either sonic or tbone what they did exactly, I asked them to tune it since I have never done it before and didn't want to blow my engine by doing something stupid, and they have experience with the vafc. I know they adjusted the vtec to switch at 4200rpm and altered the fuel setting for high and low cam under full throttle, since my air fuel ratio was near perfect from the factory, we didn't mess with narrow throttle. When I get a few mods I'll tune it more carelully.
Anyway, here's the graph (sorry about the size) http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/we...MxeTU0MQ%3D%3D
