Long story short, car was driving down the road, and just died, would turn over but not start. Did a spark plug test, distributor, igniter all good, in fact replaced all brand new. After replacing those parts, still had the same issue. Then i took off the # 1 spark plug wire and starts up...put the wire back on, idled perfectly fine. turned it off, then would just turn over not spark....then took off the #1 spark plug wire again and still didn't start. after looking at a few things, tried starting it, and fired up...let it idle for good 5 min's, ran fine...turned off and wouldn't start up. Not sure what it could be, any idea's?

 

Sounds like it could be the main relay showing its signs of dying..

 

Ignition switch is another possibility
