Hello Honda Tech. Im going to driving school in a few weeks and i was wondering if EP3 Type R would be a good first car? I mean i absolutely love the way it looks and it's pretty quick. There are 2 that i like but im not sure which to get.

It has 75,000 miles(120,000km) and costs 8600€

Red looks better on this car but colour is not important for me. Do you think these cars look decent?

Also sorry for a stupid question but something has always been bothering me. I have always been into cars but always worried about the world's oil supply. Some say that we will be out in 10 years and some say that there have been lots of undrilled places which hold up like 4 trillions of barrels. Right now the ''proven reserves'' are 1.5 trillion and according to that we will run out in about 30 years. Where i live 98 V-Power costs 1.719€. But ofcourse long before 30 years one litre will problably be 5€ lol.

What are your views on this? Thanks.

Don't worry about oil to much buddy, I've been working in the oilfields for a while, we got many many years ahead of us. As far as the EP3, IDK what your age/financial situation is, but isn't that expensive for a first car, also make sure you price out insurance.

In ''we'' you mean USA or the whole world? Because i live in Europe.

And i think in here its possible that my father can put the car on his name so the insurance will work just as if it was his car.

 

Well my dad would be okay with a Honda.. But im wondering if it's expensive to maintain a Type R and what MPG does it get? I know it wont be good because it's a performance car but i heard its around 30. Is this true?

 

Its a honda......they are cheap to maintain b/c nothing breaks with proper preventative maint.

Its a honda......dohc vtec 4 cyl usually get around 30mpg.

 

He probably wants an Audi for himself and his excuse to the Mrs. is "I'm getting a Audi for our son." but really he will be primarily driving it.

 

The oil supply will last longer than the Honda or an Audi.

If i had mommy an daddy buyin me a car it would be the one i want not the world or them if i was that spoiled.. What's up with peoples mentality that if your parent gets you a car then you must be a spoiled brat that knows nothing about life. You don't know who i am so why bother judging me?

 

so why dont you turn down your parents' offer and buy your own car? that way you can have whatever you want.
