I've got a 1991 Honda CRX HF with a tad over 650K miles on it. I do all the work on it. I was noticing that my MPG's were getting worse and the drive ability of the Honda was not as good with rough idle. So i figured with a tad over 650,000 miles, it may be time to clean the injectors. But the cost was kind of high to have it done correctly so I looked for alternatives.

I did some research on getting some new injectors and found that there are 4 hole injectors available on E-bay. I did some more research and found that everyone reported better idle and better MPG's with them so I decided to take a $125 gamble and try them.

I found that the 4 hole Bosh injectors do indeed smooth out idle and do help with MPG's. The car runs like new again and my MPG's are better than when I got the car new back in '91. Like 56 MPG highway. 6 better than what I was getting when new.

So if you have high mileage on your Honda or any other car, I can recommend getting 4 hole injectors. One of the better improvements I've done to my CRX. They make them for almost all fuel injected cars.

 

650k miles and stock injectors that have probably never been cleaned? not surprised you saw better mileage with new injectors.
