Default 2003 Honda accord radio wont turn on

My battery had died a few weeks ago. In order to get it to the car shop, we had to jump the car, and for whatever reason the car alarm went off and wouldn't turn off even after starting the ignition. We would have to take out the jumpers, and then it wouldn't start.

Regardless, we ended up getting it started and drove it to the shop, and had a whole new battery put it in, so it should have been fine. The radio needed the code in order to work, and at the time I had lost the paper that I recorded that on.

A few weeks later, and I finally have the code but now the radio doesn't turn on at all. There is nothing on the screen whatsoever, even after pressing the power button, it's just blank. What could have caused this? Is there anything I can do to fix this besides having to bring it into the shop again?

You can check for any blown fuses, but the 03 accords are known for having radio display problems. It's common for the circuit board inside the radio to fail and cause the display to go out or be very dim. The radio will still work, music will still play, you just can't see anything on the lcd display.
