Hey guys, I got a new 1990 hatch with a DOHC ZC. I changed the oil and found out the standard filter (Fram 3593) doesnt fit. It came with a NAPA 1334. I do not know how to refrence my motor when buying stuff for it. Any one had this problem? What filter can I use?

3593 fits fine.

 

I've always used OEM Honda filters on my H22 and have just bought a few for ZC changes

 

Ditto, had my DOHC ZC for years and always used the typical "standard" Honda filter.

 

fram ph3593a or standard oem honda filter

 

For future references the DOHC ZC is almost the same as an 89 Acura Integra 1.6L DOHC, D16A1 Engine. However, certain parts do not work such as the timing belt and depending on which generation ZC you have such as the 3 and 4 Gen. Cam seals, valve cover gasket, ignition rotors, spark plugs, wire sets, a cap are roughly the same and will work along with the oil filter.
