Guys, I have a 02 civic dx mt and I've been wanting to get the center console for it. What would I need to do to make it work? Thanks in advance.

 

Huh? What do you mean? Are you trying to get a center console out of another car and put it in yours, or do you not even have one? (They come with a center console from the factory.)

 

Sorry I meant I want to replace mine with a center console with an armrest.

 

Ahh, gotcha. It's pretty much a bolt-on affair. Just source an armrest version from a junkyard, and then swap them. I believe its 4 screws and 2 pop-clips (up near the kick panels) on a factory center console.

 

Car-part.com is a good source for salvage parts. Local craigslist and eBay are good too, just watch for scams. Basically you're looking for a 2002/2003-2005 EX or LX sedan, or 2003-2005 EX coupe (don't quote me on it). Just so you know, you're probably gonna be disappointed in the armrest. It's really half an armrest. The seat mounted armrest isn't much better. Seems to be the short armrest is a trademark of a lot of Hondas.

 

Yeah, maybe I am hoping for too much. Crap at least a seat arm rest would do. What models had the seat arm rest?
