power steering pulley removal tool
How you guys doin, just want to ask in your experience what tool you guys use to remove power steering pulley of a 4 cyl honda accord 1999, if you could give a link, that would be perfect thanks guys!
Most parts stores offer pwr stering removal tools for rent. I know O'Reillys does for sure. I don't believe the pully is a pressed fit. Should just come off after removing the nut
No pulley tool required, they use a spline fit shaft. Sometimes they may be stuck on there a bit. A wooden/plastic hammer and a few soft blows will usually knock it loose.
Note: I'm pretty sure that the pulley shaft uses a reverse thread, so you have to turn the nut clockwise to loosen and remove it. At least it is on the 90-97 Accord power steering pumps.

just an update, you guys are right not required any pulley remover for my 4 cyl 1999 accord, and the nut is lefty loosey not rightey tightey, the pulley just comes of by hand after removing the nut

If no tool is required how do you keep the pulley from spinning?
Trying to get the pulley off of my 90 accords power steering pump so I can rebuild the seals.
NM, I stuck a big screw driver in one of the pulley holes and used a 1/2 drive going righty loosey like you guys said and it came undone.
Pulley just slid right off the shaft after that.
THX
