Headers Help
Hello, I've been searching and can't seem to find a definite answer so I was hoping one of you guys could help me out. Thanks in advanced.
Basically, I have a 1995 Acura Integra GSR DB8 and it's burning a good amount of oil so I decided that I needed to fix it.
Currently, I'm running the stock B18C1 block with a Type R head. I was going to have a friend rebuild the bottom end for me, but he's having some time constraints so one of my other friends offered to sell me a good B16A bottom end that I could just slap together and make work. My question is, will my stock GSR headers bolt right up to my exhaust if I use the B16A block? I'm pretty sure the GSR block is taller and I've searched with mixed results about the differences in length. I just don't want to go and buy the block to find out that I will need to buy headers too since I'm on a budget and don't have unlimited funds. Thanks again for the help.

If you were trying to put a header from your gsr onto the b16 you would have issuies. But since your going from a taller block to a smaller one you wont have any clearance issuies.
B18C2/GSR Head has different bolt pattern for the header than B16 but as you're using the B16 Block there will be no problems. The collector on the header where it bolts to the cat converter will hang about 0.5" lower than running a B16 but this isnt really a problem. I'm running a B18C5/7/R header on my B16 and it's fine but ground clearance is not very good thanks to the 4-1 design (mugen).
