Intro and help thread
Hey guys my name is James. I domt own a honda CRX but i have a friend who does and he needs help. He jumped into the car with without prior experience. To add to all of this is swapped and hacked and yea.... way above a beginners learning curve. Ive been in the car scene for a long while but i stick to my 4g63 platform. Ive been helping him out as much as i can and ive been doing a good amount of research so that i can help him but now im stuck. I joined to learn and help him further so hopefully you guys can help now. below ill list all the specs that i know of and the problems were having. thanks in advance

Wiring harness: factory (i think)
ECU: OBD0 37820-pr3-003-410-123818AA
Block: B18c1
head: b16 DOHC
engine codes: 8(tdc) and14 (valve on the back of the intake/tb)
MODS: intake/exhaust/HC pistons/skunk2 cams/ thats all ive found so far
The dizzy that was on the car (part number: TD-22u(plug for the dizzy and the harness are both circle)) was replaced because he thought thats what the problem was for Code:8. didnt fix the problem. ((( i think the problem is still wrong dizzy for the car )))
hopefully this is enough information if anything else is needed please let me know ill get the info asap. He's going to be at my house later today and im going to test the ECU with the multi and make sure its all in spec.
PS: for inquiring minds i currently drive a 6th gen VR4

Yeah I'm kinda in the same boat, thankfully these ppl in this forum have been a life saver. As far as the year, you mean a 1990? because they stopped makin crx in 91. I had to replace my dizzy last week but I just got the parts house to cross reference the number on it( i found a light scribe of 91 integra on the mounting face after the fact lol). It seems mine has a 93 head and a 94-95 block running obd0 91 ecu lol (frankenstein)I am pretty new to this also so idk about code 14 but i can help you scour the internet for answers :-)

I'm sorry its a 1988 crx.
UPDATE: car is fixed! Playing around with IAC valve I noticed if you wiggle the plug it would change in sound. Took it apart and a wire was unclipped from the plug giving it a bad connection.
Fixed the plug and cleaned up the IAC. And put it all back together. Both engine codes went away!
