Curious if anyone knows of multiple sites that sell refurbished/new, OEM parts for a EF hatch DX.

Ive looked at PW JDM, all those sites, but seems over priced. Wondering if anyone knows of good local shops that have Full interior sets, seats, door panels and what not that can ship out to San Antonio, TX to a local shop.

I am a OTR [ Over the Road ] Truck driver, got a good buddy of mine that runs a shop out here called JJ's motorsports, building a monster Turbo build for my EF. [ Max Ramos ]

After all said and done, just wana start looking for resources to started refurbing the outside and inside, then possibly get her all painted.

Hard to find Brown, clean interior for my hatch.. lol.

Any Ideas would be appercaited guys, thanks. I am sure someone out there has had to do the same, just dont know where to start looking.

Virtually everything is discontinued. Some stuff still exists like weatherstripping and moldings and whatnot but is very, very scarce and hard to find. To find anything, you really need a "hookup" within Honda's database willing to hunt for stuff for you globally. But even then, like I said, a lot of it is virtually non-existent. Unfortunately, most of the stuff that would be really necessary to fully restore/keep these cars for years to come (weatherstripping, window seals, etc.) is non-existent essentially.

 

Yeah most of the new stuff is all gone with the exception of a few trim pieces that are still overpriced for the average person. Your best be is to hunt for some good used parts. If you are looking for stock DX interior you might have luck finding some good parts in a local auto wrecker. Try searching www.car-part.com to check the auto wrecker database near you. Some of the wreckers will only inventory stuff like an engine but if you call or visit the location you can find some good parts. Most people don't take the time to track down parts.

There are ways to restore your stock seats. If you find a clean DX 90-91 hb seat, you can use the foam and parts of the cover on your 88-89 seat (has to be 90-91 DX hb RH seat to work on an 88-89 LH)

 

I figure that was the case, yeah just being a OTR truck driver, dont have much access to many junk yards and what not. I figure some EF head guys here would have a resource they know personally to hook a fellow Ef guy. All good, gives it some fun when i do get home.

If worse comes to worse, i can just find a whole EF at the junk yard, change the interior to a more common. Just every time i see a brown interior set, either dont have what i need, or its just ripped to peices. I mean the door panels are not bad! just have wear and tear where people put their elbos/arms on the top of it, wore down to the foam. Thinking about just stiching a fabric over it and put some type of stuffing inside, give it some character.

I dont want the car to be 100%, just want it to be unqiue and clean to my taste.

right now i got a monster sleeved GSR turbo build going into it, car has already had the under-dash conversion, ECU OBD0 -1 jumper harness. Engine harness has been rebuilt for B series.

Car has had a Stock B18A1, B18C1 [ Type R Replica ], Fully built B20v, stock B20B boosted [ 9 psi ], now its getting a 5th motor sway.

Only motor that blew up in this car was the B20B boosted, just over the years, wanting more and MORE! LOL, but now i wana try to start directing attention towards a little of the Interior/exterior work. had issues getting the Si front bumper to find the current intercooler [ Ebay, about to upgrade to Percision ]. not sure if its going to fit, probably gonna rock the aggressive Big front mount look for awhile w/o front bumper.

Not gonna lie, i am scared to do body work to my EF, i am very maticulous about my car, i know parts are rare to find for it, motor swaps easy, but just dont know where to start with body/interior wise. Always like to try the find the easy, most effiecent path before doing the rough road.

Well guess Ill start with talking to some shops that do interior see if they can repair what it is now. see what they recommend from there, figure that be a good start there.

I think a brown interior car done right would be really cool. I personally have been collection new brown interior so I can restore a nice brown or cream dx.

 

I tell you what... if you can give me a list of what you want, I'll try my best to track it down and see if anything is still in the warehouses in the U.S.

OEM Front Seats [ Pass, driver ]
Both DX Door panels
Glove box

Those 3 are what are eye ******* me every time i see them. lol

 

exterior:

Pass Fender, hood mainly. thats it so far i know of...

The local junk yards here in San Antonio TX, lot of Honda lovers here, hard to come across decent condition, or even come across them lol...

maby look harder, i dont know.

i got my pass fender from replace auto parts. it was like 90 shipped, fit like a glove.

 

also rockauto.com has some exterior pieces like the hood and fender i think. i use them alot.

 

I found a mint set of brown 88-89 door panels today at a junk yard. Not sure what they charge for them
