Id like to go faster but what could i do to get a noticeable power difference for 1.5k on such higher mileage
if i had what you already had, plus 1.5k to spend i'd definitely get pistons and rods. Maybe some cams. VTEC control would be nice too. DOnt forget to have fun with some of that cash too.

$1500..... well, if that's all you've got, your not gonna be able to buy anything that will make a really noticable power difference, except nitrous.
sure, you could get cams, or pistons, rods, re-sleeve, but what happens if you put your money toawrds, let say, sleeves now. that alone will cost you about $1000. forged rods and pistons are a great idea, but you need to re-sleeve and H series when doing that.
ok, so far.
rods (lets say eagle): ~$360
pistons (JE): ~$500
sleeves (golden eagle): ~$850
ok, so there's a little over $1500 right there, not to mention labor, and other parts (bearings, bolts, etc.)
a good set of cams isn't going to give you much, and they are usually around $500-$600 at least. and it is a good idea to know what your end goal is when you buy cams, like if you paln on using a shitload of nitrous, or a supercharger, or a turbo, b/c each one of those will have an optimum cam profile to match them.
my advice, get a ZEX kit, and run a 55 shot. that'll run you about $500, but they are great systems, and are supposed to be the safest on the market., then save the rest of your money and build the bottom end later on down the road.

i think u should put nitrous ($600) on it and put skunk2 cam gears ($220) and it wont run u too much but could aford it. or u can keep saving and supercharge the bitch! a great place to buy nitrous and cam gears and a sit load of other stuff is....www.overboost.com/obs, they have alot of good prices.

I say dont put jack into it, and save your money. You could wait untill the engine goes(with 180K its ready), and do a H22A swap, or just keep saveing and by a differant lude with less miles on it.
