IL 1997 Prelude SH
FLORIDA CAR, Rust free. I wish I had a picture of the undercarriage of this car. The bolts still have the factory markings on them.
Trades? I Will consider Civic hatchbacks for trade, but it MUST have a/c and p/s (if available from factory) to even be slightly considered.
$4700
If you need more pictures, just LMK, I'll snap them. I definitely need to get some of the motor/engine bay. I'll get on that ASAP.
Another car I am interested in has popped up for sale, so in an attempt to perhaps own said car, I am looking to sell my 97 Prelude SH. The car has 160,000 miles on the chassis, however the original motor/trans have been replaced with a JDM H23a blue top, and a matching low mile transmission. The ATTS that the SH comes with was deleted for obvious reasons.
The motor was purchased from a legit local shop (One Six) with 40,000 miles, and the transmission was purchased from a shop down in Texas with approximately 30,000 miles on it. The original motor had a spun main bearing, thus the reason replacement. At the time of the swap, everything maintenance wise was replaced. Makes no sense to not replace the timing belt/water pump/balance shaft belts, etc while the motor is out of the car. Also did the rear main seal as well, for good measure. The motor has about 60,000 miles on it now after the time it has been with me. Burns no oil, and makes really good power too. I use conventional oil, no bullshit about using synthetic and changing it every 1500 miles from me. It got changed right at or before 3000 though, and I ONLY use Honda oil filters. Only the best for my Hondas. It is ready to go for 80,000 more miles, I have replaced all worn/wearable items on it.
Transmission wise, it got new fluid of course, as well as a new clutch/throw-out bearing. Shifts perfectly, no grinds, and the clutch grabs like it only has about 20,000 miles on it, because it does.
Everyone the car has works great. Heat, A/C, P/S, etc.
This car has acted as my daily driver for the last 1-1/2yrs. It has been reliable and very trustworthy the entire time. I have taken it on high mile road trips to pick up cars/parts/etc, usually averages about 32mpg hwy, and about 27mpg city. Pretty great mileage if you ask me, especially with such a "big" motor. I’ve always had a summer car, so a lot of those miles were highway trips. Not like It matters.
There are flaws, she's 15yrs old, it's to be expected. As I stated above, the car is from Florida, so it has paint fade on the roof, and rear quarter panels. It does have dings. Pisses me off, but I digress. There is a scrape on the passenger door, IDK what the hell that is from, was there when I got the car. The hood is also semi-damaged on the front passenger side. Doesn't affect anything, just doesn’t look very nice. I have been vigorously looking for a new hood (on the cheap, otherwise $140 from Ebay unpainted) and still will until the sale of the car.
Mods
-Ground control coilovers. Looks good, even on the ugly stock wheels.
-Nothing else. The rest of the car is completely stock. So it’s quiet, smooth, happy, and most importantly, unmolested. Hard to find these days, sadly.
I love me a stock car for my daily driver, and the springs actually feel just about the same as the stock SH springs. It does have an aftermarket radio, really nice actually. Has a amp and all of that, hooks up to your ipod and whatnot.
All in all It’s a reliable, freshly maintained, car with a little pep and a lot of healthy miles to go. Please PM me for any inquiries. I will send my phone # through there for anyone interested to my conveniently talk back and forth.
This picture was taken 2 days ago. Just showing it in it's worst shape. Nothing to hide here. Stupid brake dust all up on my wheels! UGH!

Here's the rest of the pics. S2000 wheels can come with the car for some big time $. Like $100,000 big.

I wasn't serious about the $100,000 jeeeze. Relax a little.
