2012 Ex intake?
Soooo, although I am an avid auto enthusiast, I have never owned a Honda. One of my best friends just got a 2012 EX on a crazy cheap lease last night. He's wanting to make it a little more fun. Intakes always a good place to start, but i know NOTHING about Hondas. His civic has the 1.8 Single overhead cam correct? I have yet to see it. So what should he do for an intake? I see Injen on ebya for $270, is this the best one available? Which will give him the most power? Or the best value? I think other than that maybe he will lower it with some nice rims, and leave it alone otherwise. Any suggestions? And pics you can share? Links to products? Its a sedan btw.
Will a non short ram intake from the 2011 fit? I read that a non-si 2006-2011 short ram will fit, but no one mentioned the other type that goes to the bumper. Has anyone tried? Because if they fit, we're talking $53 on ebay vs $290 for an Injen

Adding a CAI to the single cam will not bring crazy HP numbers, but running piping to the bumper will bring more cold air ( colder than inside the engine bay anyways) to the intake that a short ram. I am not sure about the intake patterns for the R18 engines or the various generations of them, but if there is a bumper well version, go with that. be sure to check if the fender has the cut out for the piping before you buy ot or you will have to carve that hole yourself. Good luck.
