Default need advice on CR-V shocks

When I had oil changed on my 2006 CR-V, the mechanic notated rear struts leaking and need replacement. Recommends replacing front struts as well. The oil isn't enough to drip on garage floor. The car only has 42k miles, so I'm not inclined to replace either front or rear at this point. Any advice?

Also, I noticed an online parts catalog refers to these as shock absorbers (http://bit.ly/RpxqqU), but the mechanic said they were struts because they have coils. Is this just semantics, or is the parts catalog wrong?

Thanks

I bought Monroe Shocks.

Recommend shock change is every 50,000 miles.

If you don't off road and drive just on normal streets Monroe struts are fine. I would recommend changing two at the same time. So if the rear is bad just do both rears struts. Same goes for the front.

If you do offroading consider purchasing Koni or Bilstein.

Thanks for your reply. So is a small leak reason enough to replace the rear struts? What's the downside to waiting until I can feel the difference?

Only downside to waiting till the struts are fully blown is poor ride quality.
