Default 91 civic Heater Problem

I have a 91 civic with a b16a swap. i live in winterpeg and my heat is not working well, its just blowing out warm air, not hot enough for winnipeg manitoba. my windows would always be frosty too. i did a radiator flush and it still didnt work. would it be the thermostat?

check under the passanger side dash, and see if your rotating circular switch is actually going to the heat "side". If its not that, under the hood beneath the IM near the heating hose there is a little lever, make sure it is facing towards the firewall, if it is not facing toward fire wall simple push the lever and you will have heat again. It happened in my CRX and that was the issue.

Did you bleed the cooling system. Bleed and flush are different.

Your heater core could be clogged or full of air.

This guy works on tons of Hondas. You may want to double check where he says to be 100% sure you don't have one. I see that Honda seems to be really good at standardizing across the decades. However, I apologize in advance if you have already checked.

Try this:

Bleeding the cooling system may take 20-30 minutes.

1) Park the car on an inclined driveway with the front end higher than the rear.

2) Push/turn the dash heater lever/**** to MAX heat. Fan need not be on.

3) Follow the directions in the diagram below
