I was wondering if anyone knows a wire that is hot when the ignition is on but then turns off when i pull the key out. I want to wire in my fog lights as DRL, can anyone help?

 

Cant remember off memory but check on your underdash fusebox. youll see about 4 or 5 empty individual slots that each have a male spade connector. Those are meant to be used for accessories. Use a female spade connector to connect to it. Im pretty sure those turn off as soon as your ignition is off.

 

I believe it's #4. I wired up my Ek fogs like that cuz GF kept leaving them on and killing the battery

Yes. Just use a relay.

 

That's how they are know but the lights will stay on even after the car is shut off

 

ok, i bought a relay and wired the hot wire for ignition from the windshield wiper motor, works perfect with the relay
