Default Name those side skirts!

So can anyone identify what side skirt this is?

I bought a car with only one so I want to buy a matching skirt.

Maybe I am going to have to buy a full set anyway so might as well just get different ones?

Thanks!

Yeah I'm going to have to agree with Discosteak, those seem like something you see off of Fast and Furious... Not trying to bash or anything. You can try finding Type R replicas on craigslist. If you live in California (hopefully) especially if you're in the bay area, you can find a lot of Type R replicas posted on craigslist, the replicas are made out of ABS plastic and goes for about $120-$140 a pair.

Do not even attempt to search for that. There is nothing even remotely cool about them.

I am no fan of adding anything to a car unless it has a function, [shaved clean] and I agree with the others, that is one ugly side skirt, I wonder what the vents are for, looks like a great spot for dirt and crap to get in under the skirt.

BTW, what is the MM&Y of the car???94

yeah its a 98. this is how it came to me.

i am not spending more money to replace the front and rear bumpers to avoid the fast and furious look, i don't really care that much if people want to laugh at it.

i figured most of the responses would be, "i name it shitty" and "dude burn those", etc. I was just trying to find the name so maybe I could replace the other side. I think they match the front and rear pretty well.

It's a shame how everyone shares their aesthetic opinions about other peoples cars when it's not asked for. Would you guys tell random people in real life that asked you questions "dude throw that **** in the dumpster"? Anyway not trying to be emo, but I am new here and it seems everytime someone posts their rims, spoilers, paint jobs, etc everyone can't help but talk ****... Just wanted to stand up and make a note about it since it seems rampant on these boards. Feel free to call me an emo-***.

Anyway I get the idea everyone hates them, so what side skirts do you guys think look good? I can't believe something that is based purely on opinion has such rampant amounts of dislikers. Is the general consensus on this board that body kits suck? there just flashy and tacky and don't provide function? Not to whine again, but are people seriously in denial that being on this board and half the stuff we do to our cars is so it appears nice in some way, even when it is functional? fcm, do you not have nice rims for example? nice looking exhaust tip? nice paint job? anyway not looking for anyone to respond to my whining, just wanted to give food for thought.

bottom line, please do recommend what side skirts you guys do think look nice i would be interested in checking them out. i am just trying to stay cheap with this car as it cost me $2500. I kinda need side skirts as the front and rear bumper, as tacky as they may be to some, sit the bottom of the car lower all around, so if the skirts are standard that part of the car will be inches higher up from the ground. replacing the front and back with stock parts is not really an option as thats way more money and work then need be.

Soon I will be painting the car and wheels black I believe, which should really help out matching the bumper to the rest of the car, and just give it a clean freshly painted look of course.

Whatever you decide, keep the original part in case you decide to sell it later. You will have a much harder time selling your car with parts like that on it. Find something that resembles OEM just sits lower.

I would personally save the money, and use it to buy OEM front and rear bumpers off a parts car. It will make selling the car a whole lot easier, if/when you do.

Don't get your panties in a knot, you can do whatever you want, it's your car.

You asked, "Maybe I am going to have to buy a full set anyway so might as well just get different ones?" Maybe I should just have said, I agree, get differant ones, so it would not upset you.

By your response, [whine] it sounds like you were expecting the responses you are getting and your willingness to change them makes me think you don't like them either.

Just like you, we are entitled to our opinion, if you did not want an opinion maybe you should have said so, made it plain that all you wanted was the skirt identified.

I should also have said I spent some time checking all my sources, [still waiting to hear back from some of my suppliers] to see if I could identify them for you. 94
