maybe a silly question, but i know nothing of cars... jumper cable were hooked up backwards and cant start car... so info I have gotten says, check fuses.... well IdK where they are.... ty for help.

In the engine compartment the fuse box is located on the passenger side at the top. It usually says Fuse box and there is also one below the steering wheel on the left side. Its hard to see it so you might need a flash light. The cover just pops off. hope it helps

so you think if i fried any fuses they are under the hood? My husband has hiw terminals on his truk backwards to his battery and he didnt tell me when i went to jump it.... so his red is on neg... anyway I hooked up the cables the way they should have been, on a car that hasnt been rigged up 10x over... not really sure what to do in this situation

 

Its possible you did, you can just pull them out one by one and check to see if theirs continuity still. Battery might be toast or your alternator as well.

 

Are you getting power to anything.....turn the headlights on without the key in, do they come on?

I think you are looking for/at the larger amp fuses....held in with screws in the under hood fuse box. They have a clear window in top....ref pic, #15 thru #19.
