Default '91 EF7 CRX B20Vtec Build (JDM/NZ)

Hi all, been browsing HT for awhile now since I bought my previous Honda (Euro R). But now purchased an EF7 so I thought i'd join up and put up a build thread for anyone interested in a CRX from NZ lol

'91 Si CRX, auto(not for long), 177,000km(100,000 miles??)

Plans - Manual conversion (probably B18C at same time or K20)
Slamage on old japanese 14" wheels, restore inside and outside.

I havent had a chance to give it a proper clean, that's this weekends mission, but I washed it, polished headlights and taillights, half cleaned engine bay and interior.
Installed new headunit but plan is to hide that in the glovebox and put the original one back in the dash just for looks and to keep it clean. The one I pulled out was a Gather / Alpine tape deck.

Gave it a quick wash and cut & polished the taillights.

Polished the headlights

Dat glass!

Engine after a quick wash

Interior

The new headunit is a bit of an eye sore in that old interior, but I couldnt handle having ZERO music (even radio was fuzzy). But i'm planning to relocate the Pioneer one to the glovebox and put the Gathers/Alpine classis tape deck back in the centre console.

And this is my old Euro R.
H22A7, 17" Desmond Regas, Fujitsubo Exhaust/Headers, Top Fuel intake, etc.

Will keep this up to date.

Jason

Did a few more things to it this weekend.

* Buffed the windows, got rid of some watersports and other crap on them
* Painted trim around windows
* Buffed the front half (got too hot to do the rest lol)

This CRX is screaming for a K20a swap..

Just saying. Just that swap, and leaving it the way it is. You will have people at their knees..
LOL, man had to come back and look at this crx.

Haha looking more towards B series (18 or 20) after talking to a mate who has a k series EK. For the power a B can make and the weight it'll go good

Very cool car! I've never seen one that clean. You said you buffed the windows, what product did you use? I was looking into replacing my windows but I think I'll try buffing them first.

Glass Science Glass Scrub works best with a buffing machine but can get OK results by hand

Small update today, haven't done much to it over the Xmas holidays.

Drove it 700km over the last 3 days, no issues other than brakes are well gone so today I replaced them.

Old vs New, I could have machined the old ones down but no one was open today, so i'll keep them aside for next time I need some.

All done, I should of painted / cleaned rest of the brake assembly but I plan on upgrading them with the engine swap so I didn't see any point.

Then got bored, pulled windscreen cowel off to check for rust and ended up cleaning underneath, was covered in 20 years of crap. Also resprayed the plastic cover, but didnt snap a pic of it.

Also installed a Kicker amp I had lying around, now my new speakers upfront go alot better (Pioneer components 6 1/2"). Again forgot to snap photos of install, but its just the usual wiring under carpet etc and used black wire tubing to hide it all in the engine bay and under dash.

Next mod planned - Restore or buy new headlights
