Default RSG///AMUSE hardtop review

Rockstar Garage just released their new amuse'd hardtop. ive been cruising around in it and all i can say is wow. i have the double sided carbon fiber version with a clear window. I was really torn between the tinted window option and the clear. the windows is super clear. it looks like looking thru those HD sunglasses or something. the wider rear view is awesome as well. i use a wink mirror in the car for extra rear view since i participate in wheel to wheel racing. visibility is a must in racing. im excited to see how things are improved as just on the street i can see soo much more.

up until no i have been using a cf mugen hardtop which i love to death, but this new top really takes the cake. the top fits really well and looks amazing. windnoise is comparable to my authentic mugen top. pretty much quite up until 120+ mph, but at those speeds, im at the track with the widnows down anyways. still quieter then my soft top was lol. we sprayed water in the edges to make sure that it was water tight as well.. interior kept dry.

the window is preformed and made of the highest quality airplane/jet grade plastic. its lighter, stronger and clearer than glass!!! weve taken a hammer to a scrap piece and it didnt brake! its super light and looks great. the company that makes these windows for RSG also make the canopy windows for F-18 fighter jets..

anyways.. im pleased. check out the pics below i took from their threads..

very nice. i have a mugen rep on the way, would have loved to get double cf but its out of my price range. this top is a bit too much for me too otherwise I would really consider it.

you have some bad information sir. infact, both companies molds were started by the same people. rockstar garage molds are newer and used authentic tops to produce them.

the only complaints weve had in the past were from customers who bought the duraflex top from us. these are not made by our molds, these come from overseas. they are a cheaper alternative to our tops. we only offer them to people who are price driven. fitment is guaranteed on those, if there are issues, extreme dimensions will replace it for you with no issues.

im just telling you what ive read man...not bashing or anything, but i have read far more negative reviews about the RS top as oppose to the forbidden, but if you guarantee fitment, than i have no issues....just out of curiousity, how much would it be for a mugen rep, painted silverstone with window and hardware?

what bad reviews have you read? weve never got one complaint about fitment on any RSG brand tops.. our tops are made here in california.

like i said, we sell duraflex tops which are not made by RSG.. we just re sell them. these tops are made in china. they ship a ton of these and not all of them fit great. but the ones that dont, are easily returned and swapped out. if they didnt take care of the customer base like this we wouldnt resell them.

the person who started forbidden and I used to sell VIS tops together a long time ago. the main reason we stopped was because VIS offered no customer support and would not exchange a defective top. I went back to work for Honda and he started making his own tops.

i try to keep in touch with all my customers. only issues weve had with rsg tops were shipping damage and the weave wasnt perfectly straight. our tops are the best fitting on the market.

hmmmm interesting, This would be a great alternative to my mugen replica, and the price is actually pretty good for an actual carbon top that fits well
