Check it out. You should be able to check it without having to take the valve cover and all that jazzy stuff off. Also check out the thread "timing of balance shafts 96 accord 2.2"

Check the balancer gears as mentioned above.....I would make sure you use the recommended screw (6mmx100) if I remember correctly. I used a thinner screwdriver and it through off the timing by about a tooth and a half on the balancer gear.

Did you use a timing light after all was said and done to make sure that it stayed timed at 15 deg. BTDC?

Might want to check that after the car is warmed up
