Default Using 9006 bulbs as 9005

Sup guys,

I have extra 9006 bulbs, but none of my cars can use it anymore. So I have this car with 9005 Hi/DRL. I would like to recycle my 9006 to 9005.

Is this possible?

Thanks!

Yes, though doing so wouldn't be all that smart, considering that 9005 bulbs produce significantly more light.

The mounting tabs on 9006 and 9005 bulbs only differ on one tab. Hold them up next to each other, and it should be fairly obvious where you need to trim down. You might also need to remove an internal tab to fit the plug.

Or just enjoy saving an hour and go spend $20 on a new set of the correct bulbs...
