Default Hasport vs. Noname Motor Mounts?

Looking to get some opinions on possible advantages of paying the extra $150 to get the Hasport DC5STK =

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hasport-Dc5s...833abb&vxp=mtr

instead of these unbranded ones

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Racing-Motor...7b4b68&vxp=mtr

Does the quality of the CNC cut make a difference or is it all the same since its the same material?

How big of a difference does the urethane quality make? They both have 62A urethane, in what ways could there be a quality difference?

Are welded mounts really that bad? I can get the china made ones pretty cheap but have heard stories of them bending and snapping.

Sorry guys on a budget and trying to make a decision asap. Is the extra $150 just paying for a name?

How many time you gonna post this already?

You're asking questions NO ONE can possibly answer but the manufacturer. They claim to offer a lifetime warranty.
6061 T6 billet aluminum is 6061 T6 billet aluminum. That is, if they are actually using 6061 T6 billet aluminum. And 62A durometer urethane is 62A durometer urethane. That is, if they are actually using 62A durometer urethane. Take your chances.

Sorry this forum looked more active and I didn't think it was a question specific for the 2002-2005 civic but posted their first. I guess this thread can be more of a debate but yah im probably going to go with them, just waiting for that guy to reply with his review. Thanks for putting some clarification on the material question.

Spend the extra for a known quality product from the best in the mount game. Or be a cheapass.

That may be the case with certain products that have quality control issues but as mentioned above, since these are made the same way and 6061 aluminum is 6061 aluminum and 62a urethane is 62a urethane, I really don't see why I should spend the extra 150 bucks.

Its not like were comparing a Chrysler 300 to a Bentley, motor mounts are not a status symbol.

Just waiting for a review by Tuesday from someone who said they bought them already, going to go based on that.

dont go based on what someone else says buy them and if they dont work for you then buy the hasport mounts as the guy stated above buy something with a known quality. thats like buying a ebay no name turbo vs buying a garrett turbo which one would you choose?

fyi, not all urethane is the same even if they are advertised as the same durometer. coming from brian of hasport, they use their own formulation of urethane which is softer than competitors of the same stiffness rating.

my hasport 62a mounts only have very slight vibes compared to my friends innovatives in 62a.

I'd spend the little extra for name brand, plus you get the warranty. I'd say its worth it.

Urethane durometer doesnt tell you the formulation or the lifespan of the urethane. Depending on its manufacturing process, certain urethane designs start to revert back to their liquid form over time..

Also, there are a number of dealers who will sell that Hasport kit for less than MSRP, ask me how I know..

The guy who ordered these exact mounts just replied with an amazing review of them so I am going to email the seller and try to score $20 or so off outside of ebay since they save the ebay fees plus the price went up $5 overnight Should have them within a week either way, will post my review when they go in.

These also come with a lifetime warranty like the hasports. Plus they are made in Canada, not china, same quality control as USA.

Sorry Hasport, I just can't justify paying the extra money. I need a lot more stuff for my car and if I buy everything based on a name then I'd only be able to get half of it.

Also mounts are not anything compared to buying a turbo. If I was buying a turbo I would go with the best. I just can't see how there can be to big of a difference when it comes to motor mounts using the same materials and manufacturing process.

I didn't say that. I said you see what is advertised but you don't actually know what you are getting.

Id spend the extra to support a company that actually cares and develops parts for us rather then some nobody knock **** off for a quick buck. Had hasport mounts and the worked/fit awesome.

Well I placed the order, will let you guys know how it goes. I doubt the seller would lie about the material etc with the risk of being outed, eBay is pretty safe now a days.

Anything worth doing is worth doing right, don't skip out on imitation products.

Got my tracking, should have them Friday, will update over the weekend or by Monday. A couple of you seem pretty closed minded about these.

BTW, how are Avid compared to the innovative and hasport mounts, those were my second choice.

I guess somebody's gotta go first. I'm not one of those people. Money and the rep of an established company is too important for me to take chances with. best to remain highly skeptical until they've been proven.

I would have gone with Hasport mounts, personally. I've used them on all of my builds without a single issue. Best of luck with your setup though.
