Hey guys, we are in the middle of fitting up a cage in a friends car, and it looks like for a few of the welds we are going to need a smaller tig torch. I was curious to see what torches you guys are using to get into the cramped spaces?

 

i happen to have a brand new WP-20F that i bought to replace my crappy torch, but its watercooled and i can't use it. also has all of the consumables, but the whole setup is actually quite short compared to most setups i have seen, and it is flexible. i know this isn't the for sale thread, but if you are interested let me know

My water cooler wp20 was really small, but they do make pen torches for tight spots

 

i know, it's like half the size of my current torch and would love to use it, but i can't since its watercooled

 

You could create a dam with aluminum foil around the portion of the joint(give yourself enough room for your torch) and put a light purge around the area. If done right you can stick your tungsten out very far and make the weld.
