Remember clean oil is good oil. Never put anything thicker than 5w30 for winter driven cars.

It's his car not yours, don't worry about it. He obviously boosted it because he wanted torque that N/A could never provide.

Change your oil every 3000 miles and don't stress about what kind of oil you're using.
