Hey Guys,

Down in Australia we were only given carbureted ED civics 88-91

What I want to do is swap everything from my crx si parts car over to a civic hatch. Not too many people attempt this as hondas are'nt as prevalent as they are in North America and also it appears to be a lot of work!

From what I already know, the fuel tank is interchangeable. What I want to know is if I can swap all the wiring from the crx over, all the fuel lines and any other parts I need to make the civic fi.

I know all civics over there came from the factory fuel injected - but with the wealth of knowledge on this forum I am hoping someone can help out.

Im sure it can be done. As for the wiring i would shop on ebay for a complete harness that will cover the crx from the fron to back from the car...sure you probably wont need the lighting portion, but if you have EVERYTHING you at least wont be MISSING small odd and ends of the wiring. Try and get wiring that matches you crx year...some minor things might change like from 88 and 91 crxs and it would be nice to just match your car year for future reference. Im excited for you and hope i can help you in anyway. ...like my momma said: nothing in this world is impossible ha!

 

you should be able to splice the crx harness over. It would help if you had wiring diagrams for both. to see if parts are compatable between the two go to myhondapartsstore.com and match part numbers. I have succesfully grafted a 4dr ef civic cabin and engine harness to my hatchback...alot of work but possible....for your civic it will be the same process...swapping the crx dash has also been done the civic efs..just a thought.

Does anyone know if it is going to be a direct plug and play? Will the lengths of the wiring be ok from crx to civic?
