When you ride, where do you live your helmet?
So when you guys go out, where do you leave your helmet? locked onto the bike? carry with you? hang it on the bike?
I usually carry with me, i'm afraid of someone taking it since I don't want to be stuck and its about a $400 helmet.

I live in the same county, and I usually will carry mine in (plus, on my bike, I have NOWHERE to lock it to...one pet peeve of my Buell
). At food joints, movies, or at work, the helmet goes with me. I have used my disc brake lock on my brake lever to lock the helmet with, but I was pretty confident it was safe there (Ride For Kids in Torrance when I didn't want to carry it and my jacket).

i got a $100 kbc and it goes where i go. too many bitch *** loosers wanna scratch/spit in/*** with or steal ur ish. never had it happen to me but then again, i dont leave my lid anywhere and the world is getting worse by the day. it;s what keeps u alive in a wreck so take it with u homie... guard it with.. well... guard it with your life
I put my D ring under my seat latch. If it's taken they would have to cut the strap and the helmet would be worthless. I do realize someone might still do that but then again I bet they would just take the entire bike.
Another option is a small cable lock. I use one for my jacket when I don't want that with me.

I lock mine on my bike with the D ring when out of town or out of sight. If I can still see my bike I just leave it on the ground by the front tire

I use mine to commute with, so it's pretty easy to take it into the office.
However, when I do need to leave it somewhere I have a long bicycle cable lock. I can actually take that, put it through the sleeves of my jacket, around something solid on the bike, and also through the chin area of the helmet and lock it all up. The only thing I have to make sure of is to make sure nothing hot on the bike is touching the helmet/jacket and I'm good.

Depends..
If I'm at a bike night/gathering or stopped for a break during a canyon riding session, I'll leave my helmet on the hooked underneath the passenger seat.
If I'm away from my bike like at work, running an errand to the bank, or grabbing lunch, and etc (i.e. away from my bike for an extended amount of time); I will take my helmet with me.
My helmet is about $350 plus I have a Chatterbox and a GoPro attached to it; I don't want to lose it!

I like to carry mine... it's like a status symbol, like a nice watch
When I was younger, I prided myself on having the ugliest battered helmet around... I scratched and banged my helmet every chance I got so it looked like a victim of war, pride in scaring. Now days, helmets are to damn expensive, and fragile, to be like that.

Depends, if I am out on a ride and stop to get a bite to eat or at a bike night, i'm usually within sight of the bike and the bike is not too far from me/the group. If I'm goin' to the mall or somewhere that i will lose complete sight of the bike i carry it with me. I waited a year to buy my favorite helmet and i would hate to have to buy another Arai helmet before i am ready to drop that cash again.
