A good case could be made for the jdm type RX.

A rule permitting entry of nonconforming motor vehicles for purposes of show or display became effective on August 13, 1999. If you wish to import a vehicle for show or display, you must apply to NHTSA for permission to do so and establish that the vehicle is of such historical or technological significance that it is in the public interest to show or display the vehicle in the United States.
This rule has been around for some time (1999). Bill Gates and Jerry Seinfeld were influential in it's creation so they could legally own their Porsche 959's. Seems like a big pain/unrealistic for a normal person to get an exemption, and I'd be very surprised if an Acura Integra would be granted one. Waiting until the 25 year exemption applies is probably the only way it's going to happen.

I have heard with that rule it is pretty much who you know. So if you are Seinfield or Gates it is easy, if not start getting to know your Senator.
25 year rule is almost here for EF civics, just grab one of those for now.

Currently working on my latest project, which happens to be a '97 ITR #380 Canadian Spec. I googled how many units were made for 1997, and apparently only 320? So how does mine have a 380 number but only 320 were made? I saw from the registry there's a number 385 as well. Wondering how that works exactly....
