My Speedometer Doesn't Work In My '02 Civic!
Hi guys, hoping you might be able to help. I have a 2002 Civic, its a manual transmission but we just blew the engine on it and had to replace the engine with an automatic engine, since that's all that was available. When we picked up the car from the mechanic, the check engine light is on and the speedometer doesn't work. The A/C was disconnected as well and is not currently hooked up. I'm assuming that there obviously was a misplaced wire or a wire not hooked up properly when the engine was swapped, but I'm out of money to pay a mechanic anymore so hoping you might be able to direct me how to do it myself. Any and all help and feedback is greatly appreciated!! Thank you!!!!
The mechanic sounds like he didn't do the job right. I wouldn't have paid him until I checked everything. Take it back and demand he fixes it.
there is a speed sensor plug that would have plugged right into your old manual transmission... he probably took that out because he didnt know what to do with it.
