No Power to Signal Wire on Starter
1991 Accord LX 2.2 w/ 5spd. Let someone borrow car and they drove with ign. key in start position. Resulted in a fried starter and a blown 50A fuse.
Replaced the starter and fuse but now I get no power to signal wire to the starter. I checked the ignition switch and that is still good as well as the 7.5amp starter fuse inside the car. Is there a relay to the starter, and if so, is it part of the main relay up under the dash? PLEASE HELP, I miss driving my gas sipping Accord!

Found the relay for the starter on the left kick panel under dash. The wires that lead to it were toasted, insulation melted off. Repaired the wires that lead to it. Tested the relay, turned out bad, had to replace that. Inserted the key and my beloved Honda fired right up. Hopefully some will find this helpful.
Your first post begs the question: Why was the key in start position while driving? Ignition switch bad or person who borrowed the car was holding it in that position.
Ignition switch on steering column likes to stick in the start position. I forgot to inform the person borrowing the car that you sometimes have to physically move the key back to run postion.
