Default FS/FT 1977 civic (trunk model) w/New Old Stock Engine installed

i have a 1977 civic with a NOS engine with close to 10 miles on it now. In the past year I have done a tremendous amount of work to this car and now I have to part my ways with it. I would recommend changing out the front and rear main seals and the O ring on the dizzy as they leak a little ( i should have replaced them before i dropped the engine in but didnt ). car runs and drives but i would not drive it home with the little oil leaks. Also need exhaust work about 12 inches of pipe from the header back needs to be replaced ( its loud ).

cash price is - $ 3,500 or possible trades

for more info call me at ( 304 ) 610-3727 my name is Justin. Car is located in 25177 which is in WV

New parts Installed

-clutch
-rotors
-wheel bearings ( front only )
-front right lower control arm
-both front brake calipers
-NOS back bumper brace
-NOS carb gaskets ( not installed but included )
-intake manifold gaskets
-exhaust manifold gaskets

Used parts I purchased for the car

-front and rear bumpers
-grill emblem ( near MINT )
-front bumper brace
-rs header
-DASH WITH NO CRACKS ( minus the wood is missing )
-rear tail light

interior

- has GSR seats at the moment came like that when i bought the car
-has a hole in the floor by the clutch pedal but i have replacement metal another member from this sit (AC1) cut out for me

Body

- body is in REALLY GOOD CONDITION not much wrong with it i would give it a 7/10
- i have the filler panels ( just not installed )

I also have lots of random parts to go with the car like 2 used fenders, 2 doors complete, 2 1200 long blocks ( one is locked up one is not ),couple of spedo's to much to list. just give me a call an i can run thru it all (304) 610-3727

i know im probably missing alot of as i have put alot of time in this i have alot of receipts as well for the parts purchased.

can you explain "New Old Stock" to me? Does that mean that it was new from a dealer and they had it for a long time? Where did you get it from? Why are the seals bad if its new?

it was a crate engine some one had not opened since honda assembled it...... sat on a shelf for 35 years in the crate till i bought it from a guy who was going to use it in and airplane kit that he had... so once it sat on the shelf for many years with out use i guess the seals went bad. the engine just leaks a tiny tiny bit of oil would be a hard fix at all.

Clean little car, you need to realize a lot of the kids on here have no clue what NOS is when restoring a car. They relate it to noz or nitrous oxide.

I understood what is was, I just don't have any personal experience with it. I thought it was a brand new engine (which it is) but was confused and questioned myself when he said that the seals were bad. Just wanted some clarification.
