picked up a 1st gen rex (carb'd) yesterday,you would never believe price, anyway have seen many with webers, si heads, ect. what kind of power are they making? already have 1st gen rex si (91hp,stock). anybody with one, links to some, or know someone, pleze let me know. possible new project if numbers sound right. i was talking to this guy who went throught my drive thru line at Mcd's and he had a 1st gen si, with what he said was a fully built 1.5L (stock motor). His car was fast!!! He said he smokes gt 5.0 stangs all day with a 250 lb person in the pass. side!!! He wouldn't pop his hood tho. I saw him get on it when he left and i damn sure believe him!!! faf!

 

my daily ride is 86 rex si, untouched block, standard rebuilt head (4 new xuast valves,heh), customized airbox, pieceshitter/pacesetter xuast............mid 15's.
oh yea........forgot 188,000 miles. and slowman, 1200 for carbs isn't nice to me.....

No he didnt have a problem with the NOS, but the ecu has a fuel cutoff real early, he was running nos twice or more a day and had it for well over 3mths before it went, and only reason was the fuel cutoff...

 

want more info on this fuel cut-off............my rex has seen as high as 7K in gear and 8K in tha driveway..........very pissed off that day.
