installing CAI on my f22
hey I tried a search and couldn't find any helpful info
I was wondering if anyone had a link to guide for installing a CAI on a 94-95 EX accord
I was attempting to do the install using my previous knowledge of installing intakes on civics...but in the accord I found some strange additional box that says "filtech" on it...its connected to the intake tubing
I am not sure if removing that box will give me any problems like a CEL or something
thanks for any help

Mechanically, it should be the same as a Civic, airbox and tubing in the engine compartment, resonator in the fender. Just undo all 10mm bolts that look like they might be holding intake parts. Yeah there is one electronic sensor left out when an aftermarket intake is used. I never did learn what this sensor is. Intake air temp maybe? Anyways most people just zip-tie it to the chassis or some other wires. No CEL.
thanks for the help but there is a specific part I am reffering to
It is a small black plastic box attached to the main intake tube by another tube. The small box reads "Filtech" on it....I belive it is only on the 94-95 EX models
does anyone have any idea of what this box does? and no I am not talking about the resonator or the box that holds the filter
thanks

Take a picture of it or something. I have a 95 accord LX and I'm not to sure I'm catching what you were saying. I made my own CAI. I only have this older pic when it was just a short ram type. It now has the filter behind the bumper.
If your talking about the box inside the hole and inside your bumper. The bumper has to be removed. Its very simple. - Take out the lower front blinkers w. a long phillips screw driver.
- Take out the 2 screws that hold the front bumper to the fender
- theres 2 (i think 12mm) bolts behind each light that hold up the bumper
IM me on AIM at 'AccordRacingTeam' is you need further assistance.. (im on a lot)
i think i know what your refering to.. its a small box with a vacuum hose connecting to a solenoid looking thing.. well all that was supposed to quiet down the intake noise at certain rpm levels.. its no biggie.. just take it off and plug the vacuum hoses
