Which turbos are water cooled? Are these better then oil cooled/lubricated ones?

 

i know a lot of OEM turbos were water cooled. mine is. they say it helps a lot because the turbo itself runs cooler... cooler is better. yay

 

so, you're tellin me that if it's cooled it will be cooler?!
Anyway, newer cars are more likely to have it...I'd say most turbos from the 90's would, though mine (from a Volvo) does not...and I'm not sure how old it is.

 

Like the man said, most oem turbos are, but mine from an older rev hard stage 2c kit is watercooled..... it can do nothing but help right unless of course you screw up with the hosing and stuff leaks... which mine doesn't
