97 accord. When I turn a full left or full right I have a shudder. It is more audible rather than feeling it. Everything feels fine driving down the road straight. This happens also when the front end is jacked up and the wheels are off the ground. I can't find any really loose suspension parts, but I can feel it a bit in the driver's side inner tie rod. Curious about hearing it turning both directions. New CV joints this year. Pretty much guessing here?

 

lift the front of the car off the ground and hold the wheel on each side and shake it back and forth.. if its ure tie rods ull feel the wheels feels like it has play in it.. also check ure ball joints

 

I feel no play when I shake the wheels, ball joints seem fine.

 

are all the tie rods tight? the nut on the rod good? have you checked ure bushings for cracks?

 

You real sure about those CV's? Are they new or rebuilt?

 

tie rods are tight and they are NAPA rebuilt cv joints; the bushings aren't pretty but they look fine.

 

I once replaced a set of rebuild CV joints three times. Every time they made noise when I turned sharply. Each time the store gave me a new rebuilt set. Finally I just decided to run them until they broke but they never did.

 

I took into a shop yesterday, He says I installed a bad left cv joint. I guess my plans for Saturday have been made.

 

i wont buy rebuilt cvs any more since new ones are $70.
