Default 90' integra seatbelt light problems.

Just got this car and finally got it running and am trying to fix the little bugs it has.

First, is the Seat belt light is on. It only comes on when the door is closed and the car is started. I have the lap belt clipped and the seat belt is retracted all the way. If i open the door, the light goes off and the seat belt retracts to the front of the car. I've check the connectors and nothing.

Also another problem is that the "warning headlight" chimes on when the key is ON and the door is open. headlights are not on. However, the fuse for interior/clock was blown before this happen. Once i put a new fuse in, the chime came on and clock works.

I've never had problems with fuses/wiring before.

Let me know guys. I've only had crxs before.

That light will come on if your passenger's shoulder belt is not clipped in. Also, if one of the belts is stuck forward this light may come on. Acura is obligated to repair the seat belts under warranty for forever since it is a safety issue. You can find the seatbelt warranty information by doing a search on G2ic.com

i got the problem fixed. thanks for the reply. If anyone has a similar problem, I fixed my buzzer/chime issue with the ICU (integrated control Unit ). A capacitor and other resistors were blown and i replaced them with radio shack parts. The ICU is located behind the Fuse box by the driver kick panel.

I fixed my seat belt warning light. Problem was the "clip" (the belt that retracts) has a switch inside/behind the clip that retracts back and forward. the switch inside was worn down and did not seat correctly when the seat belt clips in. (no the lap belt, the shoulder)
