Default Sensor left of oil filter b18c5

In the process of removing the motor and can someone tell me how to remove this sensor off my 98 type R b18c5. I searched and didn't find any. The thing won't budge and been working on it for 30 mins lol.

All help is appreciated!

have you tried to pry the rubber boot back? it should just be plugged in but becareful as it may break if you pry too much

edit: would be easier to just unplug the engine harness from shock tower areas and then get a better look at that sensor once the whole motor is out.

I wiggle in small circles and pull at the same time. It's a pain to get off, especially if its the first time it's being unplugged. Don't know if theres any special way of getting it off. Thats your oil pressure switch by the way.

You know what. You just made a lot of sense. All harness plugs are unplugged and I really don't have to take the sensor out for now! Thank you for bringing me back to earth

Thanks for clarifying! Yeah a wiggled and used a pry bar and it just budged a little. I stopped and it hit my head "maybe I have to unscrew it" didn't want to cause any damaged.

Trying my first kswap let alone my first swap lol. removing this motor so I can sell it. Thank you gentlemen!

GF's blow dryer or heat gun (set on low) will soften the boot, so it will peel back.
