What's up everyone I decided to make an account since this is my 5th Honda I've owned this year and need some much needed tips and advice.

I have a b16a swap in my 95 eg hatch. Recently my vtec solenoid gasket has been leaking, and about a few days before it started leaking I accidentally broke my speedometer, my tachometer still works as well as the fuel and temp gauge, just not the speedo, my vtec isn't engaging at all, is It because of the leak and broken speedo? Or is it just the speedo. I've got plenty of oil in it and its wired correctly. I'm just kind of confused

 

It is the speed sensor, the ecu needs to see vehicle speed.

Fix your speedo.
Fix your oil leaks.
Resolve all your codes, vtec will work :-)
