my ep3 is running very sputtery when ildeing. and my engine management light is on . any ideas what would be the cause of this ???

 

It sounds like your engine is misfiring, and your check engine light is on. The first thing you should do, is retrieve the DTC's(diagnostic trouble codes) from the engines computer. How many miles does the engine have on it, it may be past due for a major tune up, Valve adjustment, spark plugs, air filter. If you have any cheap parts, distributor cap & rotor, plugs wires, swap these out for some good quality OEM parts.
